Just turn the 30 gallon into a live bearer breeding tank, or a convict cichlid pair could live in it, then you just feed the fry to the bigger fish.

You could do bettas. Just get a pair and a thing of microworms and you're set. 200+ fry born at the same time and you can just feed out the males as they get aggressive towards each other. The females can stay together. By the time you've fed out all the bettas the next batch of fry should be ready and you'll have a few more females for the male to spawn with. Just read up on how they're bred.

yes. would raising convict babies take long? i would have to grow them a little so it would be more than a bite for the monsters right ?
