yes it will eventually grow as big as the other gar...but at a slower rate in the starting..as it starts to take frozen food it will grow quicker...

You could also try feeding your gar some earth worms. And to answer your question, yes, your smaller gar will eventually catch up in size to your larger gar.

try only feeding the gars only pellets thats what i feed my gator gar.

I just got one as well, 5". Just put it into the tank about 5 hours ago, still not eating probably cos' it's still getting used to its new surrounding. Will try small feeder guppies in 1 days' time.

Sid you mentioned small shrimps. Live or dead? Shrimps meaning those miniature ones like cherry red shrimps, not cut-up pieces of prawns right?
