my jaquar will smash the glass and jump up to the top of the tank... splash water.. he wants his food and he wants it when he says he wants it.......... lol
a friend i used to work with knew a person with a oscar that would ring a bell when someone walked by the tank. U then had to throw in a feeder fish. he'd ring again and another feeder went in
That gives me an idea I'd love to do for a science fair or somethin.. get an oscar, put a bell near it's tank with a string in the water, right before feeding it, ring the bell... maybe it learns to ring the bell when it wants food?
My Pea Puffers know the difference between when I walk in front of the tank and when I stop in front of it. When I stop, they go to the exact spot in the tank, and then start searching in the spot where the snails land and continue staring at the sand. They do this and I drop the snails and the fish try to catch them in mid-air as a game!
I had a Trimac that used to spit rocks at the glass to get my attention, when he had me and I started walking hear him he'd either start glassbanging (lookin' for a fight, lol). Or he'd sit patiently at the surface for a minute.. If the goods didn't hit the water he'd splash... He destroyed one of my routers once when I had the lid off.. I mean, big splashes...
My buttikoferi just waited where I put the food every time. He wouldn't take anything but Hikari and NLS.
Haki, my Fahaka Puffer, does many things from the usual storming of the glass to a more unusual biting at the glass; he'll actually hit his beak (teeth) on the glass which makes an awful sound, but it definitely gets my attention!
