agree with this 100%, I like them a lot more than wild-type guppies, only difference being their much more nippy behavior

Im surprised that they are one of most common livebearers that being kept in the aquarium hobby next to guppies, swordtails, mollies and platies despited their grey colors. Nearly all aquarium books mentioned gambusia.

If I have to choose between guppies and mosquitofish, i would choose these gambusia over the guppies because i lost very few mosquitofish as they are very hardy than diseased inbred guppies with high death rates.

Ghost shrimp's very interesting too as I have some in my mosquitofish 10gal tank.

This is nothing's wrong about keeping feeder fish as pets...basically any fish can be feeder fish, no matter what species.

wow, how long is it?

All I know is that she is over 12". Trying to catch something of this size and power is hard when they can jolt 6 feet in the other direction and get away:(

My G/F has two very nice "feeder goldfish" that she keeps. I think they're awesome and great to watch!

i haD the worlds smartest feeder for awhile hide in a 75g tank from 2 oscars and a gar for about 6m but they got him eventually it was really cool i kinda wish he made it longer

I picked up about 50 goldfish from a lady who was cleaning out her pond, all about two inches long. I threw some in the big tank and the rest went to the turtle. Well, the turtle decided to keep one as a "pet". It is about four inches long now and hangs out the the turtle in her tub. She will devour any other fish put in the tub, but this one fish is never bothered, not even nipped at. The turtle completely ignores it, even letting the fish "clean" her shell. It's crazy.
