I feed my bichirs a 50% diet of "clean" feeders that I breed. But in your case I do not recommend giving our fish "dirty" feeders. but if can't find any other food (which I think you can) I would rather get the mosquito fish ( the one in the lower picture) rather than the goldfish since the goldfish have thiaminease ( an enzyme that breaks down thiamine ,also known as Vitamin B). Before you feed the feeders make sure to gut load them with healthy food (floating pellets bloodworms and etc)

give it to them quietly and dont ask , I give mine those, but not much of goldfish, reasons being is disease and disease, but on the otherside they grow faster, it happens to all my bichirs, its your choice, just make sure that you watch over

i do give feeders to my fishes.. but i find it hard to maintain my feeders than my polyps.
I keep my feeders in a feeder tank with supplied air bubbles and water circulation..
i spend more time picking out dead feeders than feeding my beloved polyps.

And yeah i give feeders to my smaller bichirs and gar. I want them to go fatter and bigger so they can mix with my main tank...

I can't think of anything that doesn't exist in that thread. That's how I schooled myself on polys! Anne is the best for sure!

I breed my own clean guppies, and as I also have a 55G tank with Electrc yellows that breed endlessly, so I also always have extra electric Yellow Cichlid babies.
