This process takes a few months to establish but takes many many months to destroy.

1. Setup a <55G tank and stock with 3 male and 8 female guppies.
2. Add lots of bottom and top cover for the fry as well as love moss and hornwort for protection.
3. Feed them good quality foods.
4. Expect babies every week.
5. After a few months, the population should skyrocket and you should be able to take out large enough guppies as feeders without making a single indent to the breeding population. :)

this would work mabye use bigger fish like mollies or something mabye convicts but you can't beat free feeders we'll minus the cost of tanks and food so all most free

also a 55 is a big over kill for guppys a 10 gallon would do just fine and a 29 would work for mollys or convicts if you use convicts you will need anouther tank as a fry tank big convicts will eat smaller ones you don't seem to have this problem as much with the other two but it still will happen a little

i say if you do a live tank you should learn to make a safty net for the babies to swin thru but the parents cant , useally some screening from a pool area works , just cut lil tiny itty bitty holes in it for the fry to swim thru, and guppies breed like crazy and you dont even need a pump , i had a tank that died once and i didnt dimp all the water out cuz i was to lazy to carry it outside at the time but like 4 baby guppies grew up and they had babies and they had babies and befor i knew it i had a butt load of guppies and i didnt even do anything , didnt even have to feed them , they ate their own pooh. tough lil guppies .
