Is warm water fish such as Convicts a better food source then cold water feeders like Comets? I have fed both to my fish in the past and was wondering if one was better then the other?

I'm not sure but i raise convict fry as feeders for my fish, i know if i raise them they are definatly cleaner then most comercial feeders

I also raise convicts for feeders but I have a lung fish at the office and it's easier to go get feeders then bag up some convicts and bring in, but if the convicts are a better food source then I would.

Goldfish are not good feeders but, it has nothing to do with being coldwater species. Goldfish are a poor choice due to the conditions they're farmed in. The farms maintain the feeders at extremely high copper concentrations to cut down on diseases associated with culturing large numbers of fish in overcrowded conditions. These copper levels are detrimental to inverts and the liver health of alot of predator species of fish and herps.
Coldwater fish white meats are actually better for your fish due to the increased levels of omega-3 as compared to warmwater species.
