Hey guys,

I just have a couple questions about breeding frogs.

1. Has anyone breed frogs to be feeders?
2. If so, what kind of frogs should I breed to feed my soon to be monster?
3. How big should my breeding tank and holding tank for the fries be?
4. What should I feed them? etc

Thanks in advanced!

I would think that either African Dwarf Frogs (ADF) or African Clawed Frogs (ACF) would work the best since they live underwater. What are you wanting to feed the frogs to? They'll probably stay at the bottom most of the time, so if they're for a top-dwelling fish, I don't think frogs would be the best feeder.
I've wondered if freshly metamorphosized frogs would work, since this seems to be the season right now.

DON'T use african clawed frogs they have strong claws like the name suggest which could harm your fish

I would suggest a frog like leopard frogs or mabye dwarf frogs they are pretty small

For tadpoll food they will eat moss and plant matter you can feed them blanched lettuce and other veggies

Just go out and find frog tadpoles, heck i can send you a few thousand, then just feed the fish the tadpoles, there good sized and my fish seem to love them, plus I can get as many as I want all summer.I always make sure to treat mine first. So my fish dont get sick.

What are you feeding?

There's a pond by my house, I just go out and net one. Too lazy to set-up a breeding project. I use leopards and greens.

Eventually, my arowana.

I want to shove 103891238 pellets down the frogs before i feed them, but I guess pinkies[frozen] could work too.

Not in a rush, but the sooner, the better.

Wow, just join and he already got banned?

Thanks guys, I guess I'll go fishing :frog:

I suggest you catch, quarantine and feed. Less hassle.
How do people get banned btw? Ive noticed more latley but maybe I wasnt paying attention before.
