you can do that. Just make sure the frogs are a lot smaller than the bichir (the bichir can chock), and if you are catching them in the wild, check if the frog are from pulluted waters or not. you don't ur bichir to get poisoned. i'm pretty sure feeder frogs in lfs store are quite expensive and rare.
Point taken, thanks! feeder frogs cost bout $1-$2 a bag over here so its pretty affordable. however my 2 polys finish a bag in 4 feedings so it pretty much drains the wallet :irked:

where can you buy them ?
There's quite an abundance of them in singapore and asian countries i think

lps almost never sells them (in canada thats the case). only "ornamental" frogs for around 4 bucks each.
Ahhh, i think they're one of the better feeders for the fish. Pretty awesome to watch your polys hovering under them and snapping them up :WHOA:

What about the African dwarf frogs from like Petsmart?

I think they're pretty much meant to be as pets though i wouldnt mind letting my polys have a go at it :D

i think the frogs can have diseases but dont know wether they will affect ur fish, unles is the dwarf frogs or african clawed they might get ur fish sick if they have a diseases or parasites.
Yeah i hope not, as some frogs are collected in the padi fields they might have been contaminated with pesticide

I was told that because amphibians have thin skin that they easily absorb diseases so be careful.
Gotcha :)

Frogs can get diseases, I think your best option would be to try and breed a small easy to breed species of frog
Point taken, thanks man!:)

I feed mine indonesian floating frogs and baby bull frogs. They grow fast and fat. Just too annoying when you plan to save some for later as they make noise during the night.

Hey King-eL just 1 more question, what do you keep your frogs in and what do you feed them? i cant seem to get them to eat any food and after a few days they get all skinny

You could feed them fish flakes

I feed the Indonesian floating frogs, I feed them bloodworms. Bull frogs, I don't feed them as I feed them right away. I just go catch some more in a near pond.
