Alli own was a drill and a stapler , had the wood cut at home depot and the wire i added myself. was not hard at all. total cost less than $100 .
 
I spent a bunch setting my rat breeders up in the same rack systems that I use for my mice. I did not see an increase in pup production but my maintenance and smell has been GREATLY reduced.

Do you have a website for those cages?
 
I bought them from a biological research facility that was going out of business. But when they were new they came from techniplast. They have individually ventilated cages that moves air through a particulate filter and a hepa filter. Brand new they are about 20 grand per rack with the filtration system, but I did not pay anything near that.
