Feeder Rats

like i said i wouldnt do it as a staple diet, but the one i got had only eaten rats for years. if there were digestive issues i dont think he would have lived years and these definately werent pinkies they were huge.
 
Well, I still haven't given it a shot but next time I upgrade my snakes food size I will see if ol' norbert is interested in a rat as a treat.
 
Keep us posted please. I think all the participants and many more will appreciate your report on your own experience.
 
I have feed fuzzies and hoppers to my Aros and Red Tail Cats on a number of occasions,mainly when
i was broke. We have a number of frozen packs in the freezer, We cut off the feet and tail still frozen,
We thaw them before feeding and I raise the temp in the tank for the next day or so. I have never had
problems we do not feed live only prekilled that has been thawed. I went with more smaller then one big overall. I wouldnt recommend this as a staple but a snack every now and then and it helps off set just shrimp.
 
Tried to feed him one tonight but he wasn't hungry enough to come up to the top for it, and it wouldn't sink. Lazy bugger. :p
