I buy my feeders at petco, at least until I can get a convict pair breeding. Anyways, the water there is so cold that when i put them in my tank i lose about 1/2 to shcok. I let them sit for at least 30 mintues just floating in the bag. what else can I do?

thats what i do for 30 min.....let them float in the bag

yep....let them float on the top, will usually open the bag and feed them.....making sure none of the water mixes

thats really weid maby put some icd in the tank to make it cold and the ics will melt and the temp will slowly rise agin

Buy a 44g storage tub and a couple cheap sponge filters, fill it with 20-25 g of dechlored and salted water (2 teaspoons of salt per gallon), put the tub in your laundry room so it stays at room temp or if in the garage drop a heater into a glass jar and put that in the tub to get the water to low 70s. Buy 2 weeks worth of average feeders and keep in the salted water for 2 weeks before using, feed a mix of tetramin tropcal color enhancing flakes and algae flakes with a little garlic juice. Set up 2 of these and alternate feeding from them. It will get them a bit closer to tank temps and will help prevent disease transferance.

ok thanks
