Feeder Survivors

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
haha i bought a few feeder goldfish about a year and a half ago, i used them to help set my tank up since they can be put in cold and warm water, i put them in whilst the water was still cold and put the heaters on to bring the water temp up all the while my goldfish were cycling my tank. guess what??-- 2 of my goldfish are still with me!! they are pretty much the same size as my green terror and everything leaves them alone. they do have scales missing now but i love them, they are like arnold schwarzer-fish, hard as nails!!!

i feel bad if they survive for a while and get eaten like that. Its like they become part of the tank.
then BANG!!!!

oh well.

My 12" comet was bought as a feeder. But she always evaded the snapping turtles I used to have. The snappers went away so now shes my 6yo fishy!

fish that have been raised for this reason probably haven't been treated goo to start. none of my feeders so far have lasted longer than a few hours.

Weird, I can almost get all my feeders to survive. I dont need anymore jumbo fish so i stopped buying them

i have a goldie that has been here for about a month and it is as big as my dwarf gourami now...so it will prob get frozen and cut into pieces soon since my rope can no longer fit it in his mouth
