a neighbor used to catch those in a canal yrs ago. he had a few for a while that grew between 13-18". dont know how many different soft shells are out there...

the softshells in north america grow to between 12 and 24" in lenght. don't know if the asian ones get that big, though.

The closer I look at them, the more I think the skin on the neck and shell are not divided. Makes me think of Chitra, but they couldn't be, could they?
