What is the best and fastest thing to breed.
I know cichlids work, and I have mollies in one of my community tanks that seem to breed alot.. ANy ideas what would work good.
Ive got a guy here that I can get cichlids from for about a buck a piece.. they are just babies now.

I just want to get her on a better diet.. Has been bugging me

convicts give you a large quantity but they're slow growing. They're extremely easy to breed though. you already see the rate and pace of mollies but that's another popular choice.

thanks, just really want to get her something else for her diet. Bothers me that really all she eats is worms and from time to time the ghost shrimp. Worms to me are not enough for her. Wish she would eat like the others.. But hey, its part of being a owner.. have to find what works best....

i hear that...

start cutting up some big worms and have some cut tilapia or something and set them in a cup for a couple hours then just put the tilapia in. there is alot of things you can try to get her converted it just takes time and patients

man, I have tried that a so many times already. Ive even taken her and starved her for a few days then tried it. She just wont do it. If its not live, she doesnt eat it..
SHe eats alot. and has no trouble eating.. she will eat 10 night crawlers at a time easy... but just will not touch anything that is not live..
I am going to try smelt. and Im supose to meet a lady when Im ready for them that has 50 baby cichlids for me at 50cents each.. so Ill start breeding them and see what happens.

Ill think of a good fast breeding fish to use and start that tank up.
Ive done that with my ghost shrimp already. Have not had to buy any of those for over 8 months. So I guess another good breeder tank wont hurt..
WIfe is going to hate me..lol another tank set up...:)

How are you able to breed ghost shrimp becaue i would like to do the same for my stingray

Try frozen smelts. You can get them around 2 inches long or so. They should sink when fed. Your rays might go for them since they are a more natural appearing food than fillets.

OP.. If you live somewhere in Canada, I can probably ship you a bunch of convict fry:ROFL:. You'd have to pay the shipping....:naughty:

I can as well lol.
