same here.. i just got 6 new rbps and they love omega one goldfish pellets..

but they also eat crappie minnows and shrimp

you could also try baby guppies.

everyone answered ur question but just to add on
you wont have to give them as much care in about a week because he will double in size if u feed him enough and do a few water changes
mine grew from an inch to 4 inches in a little less than a mounth
