Currently my vatf is in a 65 gallon grow out with 3000 gph flow....25% wc every 3 days and has an ehiem 2217 ....tankmate 1 7 inch sen poly .........temp at 82 and gets fed 3 MP and 4 floating food sticks in the morning and 7 cichlid gold pellets at night...... pellets are medium size...... he doesnt look fat but is gaining a little girth..... is my feeding scgedule ok?

Sounds pretty good. I'd increase the WC as he grows. Since he will be putting out more waste as he grows you want to keep the parameters good. I'm sure he will out grow that tank pretty soon.

As long as he eats well your good. The first thing I noticed as my water parameters got dirty was their appetite.

He never refuses food lol dont want to overfeed him ...... his 220 should be set here in a few days but i just got him 1-2 weeks ago and dont want to move him already since they dont like to be moved...and bc id like to get him a little bigger .....how long should i wait?

Im not worried ..... ill figure something out when the time comes ...... but thats years from now .... im not worried ..... im just thinking of the present.... most likely he will be ok in the 220 for life with a decent amount of flow

5 8 inchers would be perfectly fine in your 650..... i think ur problem is ur giving them too much room where they are having a hard time prob slamming into everything ....

He didn't have much flow, cause it's hard to make a strong current the bigger the tank gets.

An ATF only needs a 240 for life??

Boy I sure am enlightened. Maybe I'll move some of mine into smaller tanks since they'll be "fine"

At bare minimum, with a lot of current. But it's exactly that, they'll be "fine", not necessarily happy.
