It not that everyhing goes into overflow, some kind of food like Hikari does, but Krill and something bigger stay on net.

How about feeding ring. Somebody are using this ?

Thank you

oh my overflow is kind of different

feed it with live food, e.g. ducklings...like in that youtube vid
problem solved :D

j/k, turning the pump off during feeding sounds like a good idea

Oh, an external overflow.... is that the one you have to start the siphon on to get it going? If so have fun re-starting it every time you feed. I have a 180, and my food doesn't seem to do that, what kind of current do you have in the tank? Also, are you overfeeding? Make sure your black has started eating well before you dump food into the tank.

Pics are always helpful.

Instead of a ring to put the food in, how about a ring around the over flow to keep the food out?

You could get a couple of feet of 1/2" plastic tubing and a splice. Make a ring and with the air trapped inside it would float, put this around the overflow. You could also build it out of 1/2" PVC pipe and 4 90 degree fittings.

no wonder urs gets stuck, mines doesnt b/c mines is different lol

I think that current is stong. Fish is new and that why she doesn't eat that fast like she should. She needs time to feel at home.

The home made ring is a good idea. I'll try :)

Thanks !

you could try hand feeding. None of mine took time to adjust to hand feeding, they just went for it so i think that might work.

I made it :)

Costs:
- Hook Suction - $1.99 (2 pieces)
- Tubing (hose) 5/8" - $2.99 (2 feet) I was using not all 2 feet

Total: $4.98.

It is working and I'm happy !!!

If somebody have any questions, please let me know !
