Feeding Arowana?

Aro just regurgitated 2 feeder minnows.
Hasn't eaten live for at least 2 weeks, gave 3 yesterday.
This AM found 2 minnows spit out half digested.
Some posts here discuss feeder fish where tails of some feeders disagree with aro digestiion, other posts say he just ate too much! For now back to staple.
Regarding salmon eggs I never used them in fish tank before but i tried today & they just sank to the bottom in aro tank, he wasn't even phased by them. Maybe if it was bare bottom tank and Aro could see food easier I would try again. Zacco & Tor tank had a few pieces but nothing really to suggest that they went crazy for them, they just ate them.

I finally ordered Hikari floating sticks, my aro refused it straight for 4 days. Got him some prawns instead, refused those too.
Went back to the LFS and asked him what he fed the aro. He mentioned it was freshwater shrimp (I didn't know shrimps exist in freshwater too). Anyway, got the shrimp, cut it into small pieces & voila! The aro started eating it. Weird!!
He now eats about 1 full 3 inch shrimp every day. I soon plan to wean him off the shrimp and get him on Hikari, but I'm gonna give it time. I don't want him to rebel and go hungry.
I'm not sure if I mentioned what aro I bought. It's a Asian highback gold.
