ok
i have recently revised my feeding regime, to feed spread out through the week. i used to feed heavy, then day off, heavy then day off, instead i spread out the food over the whol eweek instead so the arowana get only a small amount a day.
say, on a heavy feed day, i feed 4 pieces then day off then 2 pieces
Now i do over 3 days. 2 pieces a day, if that makes sense.
so basically eating same quantity but lesser each day over more days.
i am finding that it had a growth spurt when i was doing the old way. itsn now 17 inches. it hasnt had a big spurt.
is this cos of my feeding spread out? or to grow do they need like a binge eating day to really pack it on the weight and size?
i find that after feeding heavy, its not interested in my hand aymore or food.
but since i started my new regime of feeding less over more days, it is ALWAYS alert for my hand and food -
is this a good thing?
opinions owuld be good
or should i feed slightly more over spread out so total is more than i was feeding before?
say i feed 14 pieces a week - 2 a day now.
should i feed 21 pieces, making it 3 pieces a day?
i dont want the arowana to grow tooo slowly and stunt its growth by feeding only a little bit of food a day - i mean to grow to their potential, do they need food to satisfy them and stop following your hand?
