Hi i have a pair of t cup stingrays which had two pups . I have been told they are difficult to get feeding .I have offered them live whiteworm ,frozen bloodworm and chopped earthworms. any excess food is removed and a water change done.PH 6.7 . They are kept in the same tank as the parent fish in a partitioned off section. They are keptunder subdued lighting which seems to promote more activity, and at night with a nightligth in the room they are very active .I put fresh food in at night so they come across it trying to promote a responce ,excess removed.Ihave been trying to get other breeders comments regarding this situation. The parents mated instantley once the pups had been born. The tank has a sand substrat and generous filtration. Thanks PED pS the pups look perfect.

Have you tried using California blackworms? Ive read on here quite a few times that blackworms are a good food to get the babies going.

i have read about the blackworms, this promted me to use the whiteworm ,ihave a culture at home dont know if i can get blackworm in the uk .i also keep snakeheads and have several diferent pairs. Ialso have a cobra snakehead which i keep in a show tank in my fish hose THANKS PED

Hi mate I see you are in the UK would you consider selling one of the Rays?

THE pups will be grown on to start with .as they are some of the first babies this pair have produced .I often see them advertised on aquarist advertised. If they continue having pups and i can raise them succesfully there might be some homegrown stingrays available.

Congrats on the pups. Post some pictures! It would be so awesome.

I will organise some pics as soon as possible .My message yesterday should have read Aquarist classified as regards seeing stingrays advertised for sale . i am about to feed the pups and will try some whiteworm . they look active this morning . i also have my snakeheads to feed and other breeding stock .
