Just got a largemouth bass yesterday and he is not eating shrimp. I went to the store and got 50 feeder fish and through them in the tank about 2 hours ago but he has not been eating them. Any suggestions?

like i said in your other question. let him rest and relax. and 50 in one tank is going to confuse and scare him. try about 5-10 at a time. slowly add more and more as he gets used to this enviornment. and dont put straight feeders form petco in there he'll get disease in no time.

Yeah usually by the like the 3rd day they start eating, I bought feeders at the Pet shop , like 10 of them and I dumped them into his tank and they lived in harmony with him. By the 4th day I woke up and there was like 2 feeders left....

let them get comfortable with the tank first. they are still adjusting.

okay guys thanks alot. There are 40 feeders in there right now casue I took out 10 and put em with the pirranhas. Hopefully they will get eaten soon. the water right now is at about 71 degrees. If anyone has any other advice please tell me.

yea the best thing is wait a few days. the good thing about lmb is they hardly go hungry. eventually they will eat pretty much anything you feed them

Ive raised these things on hotdogs before...no joke. Raising your water temp will help spur his appetite. Cooler water = slower metabolism. It will not hurt this fish at all to run your tank at 82 degrees, and he will eat like a maniac. Just raise the temp gradually, maybe 2 degrees per day. Make sure you have good surface movement in your tank so that theres plenty of oxygen in the water. 71 degrees is a bit cool for a fingerling. They are generally born in the early spring, so they hit the 2-4" mark right about the hottest time of the year, and they stay in very shallow water at that size. They need warm water when they are young.

What are your water parms?
