Feeding container?

Or if your using a substrate that you don't want the snake to also consume while feeding.

I put newspaper overtop mine when I feed.

I feed all my snakes in the cage. I also have a schedule for feeding and they seem to be pretty used to that schedule as they will always be fidgety on those days. on non-feeding times when I reach in the cage to do anything be it changing water or cleaning I will pet my snakes so they don't just go lunging at whatever's moving without realizing what it is. Of course, I also feed frozen/thawed so I think it kinda conditions them to go more by the scent of the food than the moving warm things in their enclosures.

They can be more "aggressive" (or should we say defensive) if your coming into their space.

Not aggressive in a territorial or defensive fashion, aggressive in a "I'm gonna eat your hand" kinda way lol.
