Also Coura you know anyone that owns a Lace's Monitor cause I'm going to set up a reptile room and since I can get any big snakes over here, I'm going to get a laces' monitor ( reachs' 200cm ) to put in the main tank.
I just wanna know what dimensions the tank will have to be and how tame you can get them to be.
Ok, I dont know anyone here that owns a lacie as they are to my knowlege extremely rare in Europe, a few are around, more in the States. Ive read many articles and papers about their captive behavior and at least on those it apears to me that they have a rater good personality if cb and interacted with gently since a young age. They are trainable and handeable for short periods but like all big monitors require a great deal of respect as they can inflict deep bloody wonds. You dont really want to restrain it, better leave him be and he will come to check you out.
As for size of cage, you really want something room sized with many hidding places, soft substrate and climbing oportunities. Also outdoor space conected with the indoor one is highly benefecial and also saves you electricity.

). The last 2 galls I dated and fell in love with, I gave them tons of atention and hand crafted presents
