i got a pair of dwarf puffers yesterday and was just wondering how do you get them to feed?
i have frozen bloodworms and they haven't reall been intersted in them (but the guppies and ghost shrimp love em lol) ive tried dangling them infront of the puffers and dropping them right in front of them, but they just don't seem interested.
any ideas?

We have better luck with frozen brine, and the odd snail here and there.

ok like how big a snail?

We just toss in any stray nuisance snails that come in with the plants. Usually about 1/8 - 1/4 inch. They gather around for a few minutes looking at and then the crunching begins.

i never see any snails that come in on the plants. odd.
but i guess that i could look around the ol LFS to see if they have any. would it be fair for them to charge me for them?

My friend has been keeping them forever and he usually feeds them mussels and shrimp so maybe one of those will work for you.

well they ate a little today. kinda.
they took the bloodworms in their mouths but kept spitting cloudy reddish stuff back into the water, like all the buts or something.
but i think they did manage to get some down.

thats how they eat by grinding it so it will make a mess try glass worms for sure also most lfs have snails some where and if they have some they will have alot soon so they will probly sell you some or give you them if they know how fast thay reproduce
but id say keep a 5 gallon tank or so with snails in it thay reproduce quickly and don't require much care or food
