Feeding earthworms to my fish.

Here's a trick, after you have collected you earthworms, place them in a container of corn meal for a couple of days, they'll eat the corn meal and excrete all the dirt.

Does the cornmeal have any adverse effects on the fish/water quality?

I told my 3 year old that I would pay him $1.00 per worm he dug from the garden. I thought it may cost my a few bucks and it would teach him to work. Cost me $20.00. But my oscars loved the most expensive meal thy have ever had.

No, I just rinse them off and right into the tank. My Jardini use to love them. Saved me alot of money because his diet for yrs consisted of shrimp. He would eat 3 or 4 fat ones in a flash...I swear they never hit the water.
