Matt, thanks for an honest and candid response. I too use a garden hose, after I run it for a few minutes, to conduct water changes. I use the gray electrical conduit PVC, I do however use the eggcrate under rocks. All 150 of my fish are healthy and eating machines. I will clean up tomorrow and drop some crispies in the tank.
