ive thought about feeding hotdogs to my fish but im not cause of all the stuff they put in there and use to make hotdogs.
Yeah it's junk, even though I ate four of them this afternoon.

Ewww...hotdogs...
I gave my betta some cracker crumbs, and he liked it. He also likes tiny pieces of cooked egg, though I doubt how nutritious that is...

You should NOT attempt to feed your fish bread regardless of what they are. Bread can swell and as it is also made mostly of starch, I would not be surprised if the fish starts getting bloating issues and eventually buoyancy issues.

I feed my fish boiled egg whites, and gel foods containing veggies, sardines/tuna/mackerel, acidophilus, calcium, multivitamins and Mazuri gel powder. About the only human foods I give them at the moment aside from shrimps excluding Mazuri which is obviously for fish.

Yeah I only gave him cracker crumbs once, and that was because i didn't have betta food. I boil my eggs when I give them to him, but he only gets white. I heard yolk is too rich for them to digest.

Yolk is fine for fry to juveniles. I feed my goldfish fry with egg yolk. The egg whites go to adults.:)

Makes sense, as it keeps baby chickens healthy until they hatch, so it should be good for baby fish too. How often should you feed an adult betta? Is 4 times a week enough or should I be feeding more? He gets betta food 2 days, and dried brine shrimp 2 days, with the occasional egg white piece whenever I boil eggs...say once every other week or so...he seems healthy, but he's always begging...especially if I'm eating anything.

I remember seeing a video on Yotube a long time ago someone feeding their pacu's hotdogs.
Oh I feed my Oscars grapes once a week and they love it.
