Feeding Frozen "Meat"

My advice when dealing with fresh fish products, buy fresh, freeze for 48 hrs at 0F (-18C) to destroy any potential parasites, and use up within 30 days or so.

The USDA as well as most state health departments have outlined what they feel is the "best" way to unthaw fresh fish products. You can find those methods in the link below.

Some lucky fish! halibut.

LOL...what's wrong with halibut? It's the same price as the other fish I buy at the market.
In my neck of the woods, its close to $20 per pound.
I love halibut, so once in awhile, I do indulge. Uh.....halibut for me, not the fish. lol

Although, that's still cheaper, considering NLS typically cost more than $20 per pound. Spoiled freaking fish:D

More than $20 a pound??? Buy dry food in bulk, and your feed bill will be cut in half - especially if you catch a sale, and/or free shipping.

Yeah, I just exaggerated a bit. I used to buy the 500g which were around $20. Now I buy 2000g for about $60, which works out to less than $15 per pound. Still cost more than rib-eye steak lol
