fuzzy rats can make them choke and possibly sick

Did ya see the clip on youtube where the aro ate a mouse, then choked, panicked and jumped out of the tank?

I don't see how feeding a mouse could provide any nutritional value that couldn't be found in more practical foods.

How many clip like that have you seen? Thing like that won't happen every day on every fish :grinno: Besides, there's no concrete evidence that the aro was choked, panicked and jumped. He could just tried to swallow the rat, and the movement caused him to shoot out of the tank. Anyway, it's good to feed your fish with fuzzy mice, and there is no harm as long as don't feed your fish with an oversize meal. I learned from my reptile hobby that rodents are the most nutritionally balanced. The calcium and protein ratios are as perfect as you can get. That's why they're a must food for reptile.

Half agree. Maybe once a month is good, but i wouldn't recommend more than that, as fish dont digest mamalian meats that well. If you start to see like furry poo, id suggest you stop feeding it.

as wif hair in the poop .. ill keep an eye out ... but i doubt it.. the fuzzies i use normally on the gar have a fine film of hair that u can see what colour the mouse would turn out...
