Feeding gone wrong

my hubby did the same thing today with medicated flakes that always make a mess, and he did a handful at once o_O i had a snowglobe too, dont worry.

i love ur substrate what is it?
 
Nice amia! How large is it? I caught a dozen or so last year under 2" for my marine lab. Only two of them are left, at 7" each.

I'm surprised the Bow doesn't eat some of the smaller Bichirs.
He really loves the food, did you see how he tried to eat the whole thing? lol. I was suprised also by this bowfin, he doesn't bully or touch any of the bichirs.

Well I only gave a small portion, but it scattered everywhere by the time the bowfin chewed on it

It's a brown 3m colorquartz sand

I would say it's around 5 to 6 inches right now. If by any chance you caught a baby amia calva again next year, message me! :)
