Btw, 4 new discus and almost the whole group is eating from what I can see. Should I bother trying beefheart and other stuff or stick to what is working, the hikari bw?

Try and introduce another food while feeding what they like. Just a little at first so they will take it. That way when you feed just that, they will be ready for it. Mine will not eat frozed krill. I give them a wide choice of foods and it is paying off. Nice color, nice size, and a great attitude.
Keep up those water changes while trying different foods. You need water changes all the time, but when I am giving new fish new food, I do WC everyday.

In the future, If Discus won't eat, I take 1 clove of garlic and smash it up and in a small net and let it dissolve in the water. the garlic stimulates their appetite and they want to eat soon after. (if there are no other underlying problems)
