Feeding Jardini

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i think feeding them live fish is fine, but there are the many risks out there. i rarely do feed mines live food because i dont like the messy crap that fly out of its mouth, like the scales

I wouldn't feed my Aros feeder unless I bred them or I was in Asia. I heard in Asia, feeders are very nutrious. As there are different types of feeders and the feeders are fed with different food.

My Jar loves insects like crickets, roaches and beetles, also earth worms. He gets feeders once a week, but personally wouldnt recommend it. I only give him feeders from my friends tank, which are bred, quarantined and gut-loaded with food prior.

people dont suggest feeding with the feeders due to high risk of feeding it with sick feeders. but if you sure the feeders r healthy and desease free i would say feed it as often as u wish for.
my aro feed on foodstick now for while but when he was the size of urs i feed them comets/neon/minnow and whatever on sale LOL
If you think sick feeders is all this is about, you clearly have no idea why we recommend not to feed feeders...

Arowana have not evolved in millions of years. Taking in this fact, they have a very strong immune system. If a "sick" feeder is consumed quickly, the odds of an aro developing a disease is unlikely. The nutritional value is the main concern(In my opinion). I would suggest some market shrimp, tilapia fillets, and pellets for your jar (or any other aro for that matter).... You can also feed insects for treats... All my aros love them..

Good luck,

Chris
