Somewhere???
Ok, so picked up my 3 inch jardini. love this guy. feeding him blood worms at the moment. just wanted to know what other food suggestions for him which will keep him healthiest and happiest. want to vary his diet also.
thanks alot :)

Feed him the small crickets if he will take them. Try the frozen krill, scallops and shrimp. Just break them into small pieces.

My jar eats everything! :D

With your small guy I would feed small raw prawn (shrimp) meat pieces as a staple, and then add things like mealworms, crickets, earthworms (cut up), feeders and pellets.

Later on you can get him to take fish fillets, frogs, centipedes, turtles, etc...

started on superworms, then crickets, then increasing sizes of market shrimp. but i usually vary my aro diets, giving them many different bugs and meaty tidbits from time to time. just be sure what youre feeding is disease, pesticide and poison free

Deffinatley go for the cricket idea.

They love them.

Crickets=Crack for Aro's..My Jar will eat as many crickets as I put in the tank...Mainly he eats Krill, Market Shrimp, Squid, and Pellets...He will nibble on flake when I put it in their for his tankmates also. NO LIVE FOOD...Too many trips to the fish store will quickly make you resent your ever growing friend.

He would love you for it though ... what are friends for anyways? :D

:grinno: Hah! I can prove that theory wrong. The lil jar I have won't touch crickets. :screwy: Bought a container of flukes freeze dried crickets and he won't touch them. Lil bugger only eats meal worms. :irked:

I was thinking of starving him for 2 days to force him to take the crickets..but I figure he's still small..only about 5 inches..I'll wait til he's bigger. :nilly:
