I believe there is a law against harming cats, kittens and dogs or domestic pets in general........... and this thread is a total waste to even consider it.

Was about to say the same thing as coeus, feeding a cat to fish is a no-no but everyone will happily feed fish to their cat with no complaints.

So the next arguement would be that fish fed to cats is normally dead and prepared. So then what would be the problem with killing the kittens first (drowning in a sack i think is an old favorite) preparing them (de-furring, filleting, etc) and then feeding them to the fish?

(please note, i'm not in favour of feeding cats to fish, just pointing something out.......not sure what that is either though!...........besides, i'm sure puppies taste nicer)

I would have the same issue with rats or mice, I have a mouse as a pet. it makes my stomach turn to think of pain and suffering coming to her. If you were going to feed full grown cats that had been humanely disposed of (i.e put to sleep) because of overpopulation then its a different story meat is meat and it might as well be used, but to put futher thought to that overpopulation should be dealt with using preemptive measures.

I also do not agree with the argument that is given, that giving live feeders is natural, there is nothing "natural" about keeping fish in a glass/ arcylic tank. (obviously in this case their is absolutely nothing natural about feeding a kitten to a fish).

Pause to think of how you would feel being thrown into a great white's tank to be used as a live feeder, the terror and pain you would feel. I'm not arguing that human life by another human should not be valued more than other animals, but your basic primitive feelings of fear and pain can be agreed upon to be equal.

I usually try to steer clear of this argument but opinions were asked for.
