Hi sorry if this is in the wrong place it’s my first post, my Arowana and Red tail cat adore the frozen lance fish you can get, I defrost them let them soak but after every feed the tank has an oil slick, only happens when using lance fish. If anyone knows how to stop the oil it would be very appreciated thank you.

Welcome aboard
I agree with Ansorgii Ansorgii . The oil from the fish may also cause water quality issues.

The way to get rid of the oil slick, if you must feed oily fish, is to use a protein skimmer.
Below is one I built for a pond, and have used the same version on tanks.

The commercial fractionation units used by satl water aquarists usually aren;t strong enough for freshwater tank fish, because the density of fresh water is such, that getting proper fractionation, is harder to achieve in fresh eater with the wimpy commercial ones.
