What should I feed a small Lima? I am dropping in Hikari carnivore pellets, but it isn't eating them. I drop them in at night any way for my Pictus cats.

limas love the live stuff, but that poses problems that have been well document on MFK.
They are slow on the uptake sometimes if the food isnt live, and you have it in with some active cats, SO you need to make sure that the lima has its opportunity at food before the pictus harrass him into hiding and ruin his appetite.
Depending on size, you can try some chopped silversides and shrimp, maybe a block of beefheart (though its messy).
It also depends on how long you have had it. If it is a new fish, call the store and see what they fed before you picked it up. It also may take a bit to acclimate and get really hungry if its food its not used to.

Thanks mate. Came from my store, which is why I bought it...I work at Petco. I didn't want to see it die in some 10 gallon tank, and I didn't want to have it get sick in the tanks there. So, it never got a bite to eat at my store.
I have had it for 2 days. I will try some frozen krill, see what happens. Maybe isolate it, and try to get it to eat on its own.
Raw is the best, and yes you have to peel it or buy it peeled already. Cut it nice and small and drop it as close to where it is "hanging out" as possible...
Sounds good! I am thawing out some krill as we speak, but I will pick up some shrimpies tomorrow!
