feeding liquid multivitamins

Ingestion is far better than doing waterborne treatments. I've done human multivitamins just fine with my fish with no issues regardless of what they are.

Look for men's multivitamins with no iron added. It's the iron you really have to watch out for as too much of it can cause kidney damage albeit higher incidence of dropsy cases and damage to endocrine glands thus leading to premature death in your fish.

In the end, it depends how much food you make in proportion to the vitamins you have.

Cchhcc, are you using multivitamins that have iron added? You'd have to weigh the food and measure out the vitamins in proportion to what exactly is needed. Centrum is one of those acceptable vitamins you can give your fish. Discus-Hans and msjinkzd have also used it with no issues.

In homemade food recipes, this is your best way of including the vitamins as you can measure out what exactly is needed. Again, iron is your primary concern. Many multivitamins include iron and iron is fatal even to humans in excess amounts.

I seem to forget the OP asked for liquid multivitamins. Bunty, do you have access to Vitachem? Do not dose it on your tank water. Put the drops into your food mix.

Well, i m currently feeding my flowerhorn with that multivitamin.
I take 2 drops of it mix it with few drops of water , thn soak some pellets or shrimp in it and then feed him. Jst feed 2wice a week 2 my other cichlids
wil search 4 vitachem. Didnt checked whether it contain iron or nt if it does wil stop it rite there

I, like most here have never found the need for a liquid or solid vitamin supplement. Most of my fish live well on the diet I feed now. However, I do believe that in special cases, a liquid or solid vitamin would be beneficial... cases of HITH/HLLE.

I think that for the most part, results will be difficult to measure unless you are dealing with a case such as HITH/HLLE.

JBL Atvitol is a good liquid vitamin specifically for fish. I only add it to stuff like shrimp..theres no need to add to the pellets I use as they already contain vitamins.
