Feeding Lung fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Blacktumb... I had the same issue with a certain type of nightcrawlers from the bait shop. He would crush them and then spit them out. I can't remember what type they were. My lung adores the giant canadian nightcrawrlers.
They go in like candy.

Well I think your making a lot of quick conclusions you claim that the water looks like s--t..I presume you aim at the bubbles at the water surface....(can there maybe be a big airstone just outside of the picture).
Or is it the algae...I leave it in the tank to minimize stress.
he does not like it when I clean out his tank.

And if you look at the picture closely you see there is a big Bio filter under the tank wich can easily cope with the waist of the feederfish. If it does not I will notise... I'm not new to keeping fish and water.

And I did not put the pictures up to show off or anything...but I think a picture says more than a thousand words. What I was trying to say with these pictures,, If you keep a fish in ****ty water and a ****ty diet" it will not thrive. Thats why I put up the before and after picture.
(BECAUSE ANYONE CAN TALK **** BUT A PICTURE PROVES IT.. DOESN'T IT)

I so fckn hate it to defend myself. But I can't really appreciate it when someone makes Acquisitions that I'm not taking good care of my fish.

Amen.

p.s excuse my english and choice of words (i'm not a native speeker)

In clean water bubbles dissipate very fast. You still have some surface crap or the bubbles wouldnt cover the whole top of your tank. Plus the fact the water doesnt look the clearest.
Also a pic doesnt show s&*t. Your fish could be dead in that pic and we wouldnt know. Yes its alot bigger then when you got it you proved that but thats all. All santoury was trying to say was if you had fed it a better diet with better water it could have been bigger and healthier. And happier.

No matter what you say it has been proven a 100 times and anyone who knows what they are talking about on MFK will agree feeder goldfish are crap for anything other then the occasional treat every now and then. And even then a minnow or something similar would be better.

You just said that it looks less active , less healthy, with feeder fish. Read that line back to yourself bro.

And no, it is not the best diet. I'm just waiting for everyone else to read this. It is true they are not susceptible to parasites, but why wouldn't you want the best, most natural diet (notice I said "MOST" ) diet for your fish? Feeder goldfish also are of very little nutritional value.

Yeah Yeah...I got it..gold fish suck.....To be honest this thread mde me fckn paranoid and I haven't been buying any new goldfish.

GRIF
That's the spirit! There are just so many better foods out there nowa days. Only 3 of my multiple lungfish will even eat a goldfish if offered one.

Mine would actually devouwer 50 goldfish in 3 days. He loved them.
I got it to eat beefhart now He does not like it that much but he does eat it.
I'll see how it works out.

p.s. I also got paranoid about my water and did some extra tests.
but the water is perfect. ph 7.4 zero amonia no nitrate enz.

Good going bro! Try worms, and other meaty foods, and pellets. They are usually great about taking all sorts of food.
