feeding methods

I am wondering how to get my lucia to hit food as soon as it is dropped in the water, it's only about 5". Do I wait til he gets older?
Is there some kinda method of feeding him that will help?
And also I have read that one can feed a snakehead chicken, how is this done?

i dont know what kind of fish you got but if you got a fish that can jump out of the water or poke out a lil bit, you can wet a piece of chicken or whatever food you want and stick it to the side of the tank. i do it with pieces of fish. probably works with chicken. just rub the piece of food against the tank until the water makes it stick.
