Has anyone ever fed the arowanas mice? I seen some videos of it on you tube. Just wondering what others thought of it

I don't think it's very good for aros. they aren't designed or meant to eat mice or mammal protein.

beef heart is different than other mammal meat in being it's very easy to digest.

sure they are!
anything above the water line is game :D
are they? show me some proof. I know they eat mostly insects form the surface.

the problem is the complexity of mammal proteins and the uncomplexity of fish stomachs. they don't get much out of it. Ps are adapted to it, but I don't know about aros.

Wild arowanas will jump out of the water to eat mammals from tree branches. It would be ok for an occassional treat, but I wouldn't do it because I hear they leave a prety nasty mess in the end...so to speak. And I like mice and would never do it myself. ;)
