If you're feeding a whole, fresh tilapia to your fish, you're wasting money. You can go to Walmart and buy a bag of frozen tilapia fillets at a very cheap price.
I feed my fish fresh talapia filets that are farm raised, they are about 2$/filet. I have had great success with this and always consistent water params.
The more types of food the better tho, so i consider talapia as more of a 3x a week treat.
