Yeah, in the wild they can get at least 3ft. It is almost a snakehead, but not quite as verocious.

I wish I had more of them. Yeah he looks like a snakehead, but that doesn't stop me from wanting one of those to!!!

P.S.- The bowfin will be going in my 55 I just got along with most of my other natives so my wife can have her "pretty fish" back. The bowfin ate both of her tiger barbs. (didn't hurt my feelings much though, lol)

I am surprised she let you stick it with the tiger barbs in the first place.

I didn't tell her it was aggressive. She knows better now, lol. She asks way more questions about what I got going on. It was kinda good in a way. It got her more into the fish and what it takes to take care of them. Believe it or not, she loves to vaccum the tanks now out if I get it started.
