Feeding my new ''O" smelt

Where do you get smelt???

The only problem I can see is if they are cultivated from a region with certain mercury levels (you know trace amounts fit for human consumption) not sure how that would effect your fish. Other than that I can't see any problem with it. As mentioned before though stick with a staedy diet of pellets and use other foods such as beef heart, smelt, feeders, cricketts, etc as treats. Also try veggies like blanched zuchini, peas, cilantro etc. to bring out his color.

i've wondered about that before

naaa thats all good

to be honest better than what u get frozen from the pet store cuz that junk many times is shipped with dry ice and the dry ice run out so it got thawed and froze again
now thats BAD

No one has any concerns with bacteria, fungus or parasites???????
They are a raw product and though freezing may kill some "critters" would it ensure that they are clean for our fish?

I keep mine frozen, when I need to feed it to them I leave it out to defrost
