yup all of the other bigger sa/ca cichlids imo

i had ayoung jag but he was very shy, real disapointment that.
I have a young jack dempsy and a pearl cichlid (geoph) do you know if they will have similar charictar to oscar.
you lads are a great help and ime sorry to pester you, i just love these oscars and it would be nice to have another fish come up to the screen larger than life and made up to see you.

Hoplarchus psittacus. Very similar personalities to
Oscars and similar sizes.

Uaru are also quite personable. I had a big one that would eat lettuce from my fingers...

those two sound brilliant, ile look those up and try to get one of them.
Have any of you had any dealings with dempseys, i read that they have a lot of personality.

I've found JDs to be a lot more shy than oscars, parrots or Uaru...especially single fish.

I'm sure people will tell me I'm completely wrong. But that's my experience.
