Feeding my Pleco vegetables

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The idea for plecos really is you put it in after dusk and take it out the next morning after they've had a good feed on it.

I do that twice a week with cucumber and the rest of the week he has a mixture of algee wafers and he also eats the cichlids food and will even make a guest appearance now and then to feed on the frozen prawns (thawed in water) I feed the oscars.

If I cant find my screwcumber (google them if you never heard of them, great things) or just stick a husehold fok or spooninto it.

If you change that cucumber to zucini you will be doing your pleco a huge favor, cucumber has 0 nutritional value!!!

I know but he shuns everything else, he will nibble on a carrot and the odd bit of brocolli but goes wild on the cucumber...... never tried zucini so will give that a go :).

I would say my pleco prefers the meaty treats I give the cichlids more than his own sinking foods, normal? (12" common)

so do my other plecos, i think thats why my L330 died it was getting too much meaty foods. he was in a tank with my gar, fire eel , and clown loaches.
