Both the 2mm & 3mm pellets were designed for both freshwater, as well as SW. Both formulas also have cichlids on the labels. 
I would personally recommend the 2mm (Medium Fish) pellets, unless your vics are over 8-9", which I would imagine isn't the case. If the pellet size is too large for the fish to swallow whole, the fish tend to chew a lot, and expel a lot of smaller particles into the water. Hence it becomes wasteful, and causes your filters to require more frequent cleaning.
