A 3" oscar can easily handle a 1/2" cricket, if your oscar is smaller just get the small ones like you would feed to house geckos, around 1/4", they make good treats.
oscars love anything and just about everything my friend used to feed his raw hamburg not a good suggestion though i feed mine worms feeders pellets etc.. etc...
