can i feed my pacu peas, greenbeens. i was eating peas and i thought that i could feed my pacu peas. would they have to be frozen (thawed) or cooked. what about green beans.
Use frozen or fresh vegetables or fruit. Do NOT use canned peaches or pears because there is a considerable amount of sugar added to them.arowana man;1246294; said:my 2 pacu's are about 4'', to small for grapes. can i feed cut up canned peaches, pairs.
Pacus are vegetarians and thus would not take meats. Fish based protein should be fine however.arowana man;1246297; said:i also heard any meaty food is bad. how is this?????
wow. peanuts? i quess anything edible will do. lolMCHRKiller;1250237; said:My 12" Pacu eats anything that doesnt eat him first, and in his case....being the largest fish in the tank its not going to happenHe gobbles up Algae wafers several at a time, cichlid pellets, massivore, frozen krill, beefheart, various types of fresh chunks of fish, grapes, pieces of apple, peas, cucumber, unsalted nuts of various types. Hes eaten m*ms that one of my moms friends kids decided to feed him without my being there. Hes eaten some guppies intended for my oscars. Pacu arnt picky eaters, they will eat just about damn near anything. But do be sure to include some fresh fruits and veggies into your pacus diet...its really the best thing for them.
I do like to watch him eat my HBH super soft sinking pellets intended for the black shark...the Pacu will take a big mouth full of gravel sift the food out and spit the gravel back out usually at the tank glass. They are great fish![]()
