have you tried garlic? supposed to be very attractive to most fish and good for them too. Also helps aleaviate parasites. Also, it might sound kind of mean, but I had to nurse a sick fish before and all he would keep down were live food also. He would spit everything else out. So I would inject nutrients and meds into the bellies of gold fish with a hyperdermic needle. Seemed to work pretty well.
I didn't even see my dat for a month, but one time I was feeding the catfish and he swam out, picked up a pellet, and then went back to hiding. He's set now! Now I have to worry about my stonefish viewing everything as a feeder!
